NEXT is a device engineered, produced and developed by Cinemartin to give Filmakers, Directors, DP and Cinematographers a portable video recorder and computer device allowing to achieve, record and manage, the best picture / video quality from amost any professional camera, with the best easy of use, compatibility and on-live features / performance at an affordable price.
What the software inside is able to
NEXT comes with custom software developed for video and audio purposes. It allows you to select the output preset between Uncompressed, Motion JPEG and latest and widely used codecs like Prores or H264 up to HEVC H.265.
NEXT Live, is the Main interface allowing you to select the Framerate, Resolution, Codec, Bits, etc..

Whats the Inputs/Outputs NEXT have
NEXT is available in several models from only HDMI input/output to 4x 6G-SDI and 2x HDMI (1 input 1 output).
All models come with 2x Display ports, 4x USB 3.0 and 2x GigaEthernet ports
Whats the resolutions, bits and supported color sampling ?
Hight end model record up to 4K at 60 frames per second. All other models records up to 4Kp30, or 1080up to 60p, 720p60, etc.
All models can record at 8 or at 10-Bit. Depending on video engine model up to 4:2:0 and 4:2:2 or up to 4:4:4
Whats the codecs NEXT can record to ?
NEXT record default in Uncompressed 8 or 10-Bit or Motion-JPEG or 10-bit DPX. Included software automatically transcode to Prores 422 up to 4444, HEVC - H.265 amont others available codecs. MAC OS allows for Prores native direct recording via Media Express software from Blackmagic.
Resolutions supported ?
1920x1080 at 23.98, 24, 25, 30, 50, 60 progressive frame (or 50i and 60i interlaced), 720P at 60, 4096x2160 at 23.98, 24, 25 (50 & 60P will be in a update) and 3840x2160 at 23.98, 24, 25, 30, 50 & 60 progressive frames (50 & 60 for high end 4K extreme powered model via a planned firmware upgrade using dual input). All models supports interlaced: 50i, 59i, 60i.
COMPUTER
It is NEXT a Computer based device ?
Yes, NEXT is a video recorder and a computer device. It is really a computer device designed for video purposes as long as a portable workstation. So you can simply plug in a keyboard and a mouse and use it as a computer.
NEXT is available with internal capacities from 500GB to 1000GB, but you can also plug a USB 3.0 pendrive and get a simple copy of your clips by simply pressing the Backup to USB button,. Up to 500MBps. Tested Samsung T1 with more than real 420MBps transferences. But really there is no need to wasting time moving the recorded clips back and forth, simply use the NEXT as a editing machine, Core i3, i5 and i7 are really fast machines.
Whats the computer specs ?
Intel based CPU 4th & 5th generation, 64-Bit 15W TDP with standard and custom industrial components. Different models comes with different CPUs depending on price/model/features. Custom builds are available for users choose the Processor inside among other componentss
What other software can run?
NEXT can run NLE like Adobe Premiere, Avid, Vegas, etc . as well as VFX as After Effects, Color grade such as DaVinci and other Windows compatible software. In fact, we used Next to edit with Adobe Premiere Pro CC the presentation video by Alex (here: )
So, as a computer, Can i take proffit of them ?
Yes, you can conect to internet, upload or send any file using Wifi or Blutooth, connect USB pendrives and other USB 3.0 or 2.0 devices, etc.
You can also let NEXT act as a streaming server to let other people everywhere in the world with Internet access and plyback the videos located in NEXT
Is it compatible with MAC OS ?
Yes, models featuring Intel Core i5 5th generation or Core i7 4th or 5th generation are compatible with MAC OS.
Cinemartin does not provide support or installation for MAC OS.

POWER
How much power NEXT consumes ?
NEXT has been designed with low consuming parts, most of all are industrial components highly efficiency and the average power is 29W. As example, shoulder mount cameras consume between 35W and 65W.
How does it gets power ?
You can supply power to the NEXT via AD/DC power or using a battery to the DC input.
What kind of batteries can be used ?
NEXT can be ordered with a V-Mount battery plate, so you can attach any VMount compatible battery, but you can also use cheaper labtop batteries (90W is well enought). If you plan to use a portable labtop battery it must come with a HP like compatible connector of measure 5.1mm inner diameter and 7.4mm external diameter, depth 12.5mm. Portable battery must supply 19V, reccommended 90W.
How much time can I keep the NEXT working until battery goes empty ?
Using a 120W/Hr battery around 4 hours of normal usage, a 90W a litle more than 3 hours.
